David Hurst

About David
 

David Hurst is the Chief Executive Officer of Roper Gulf Regional Council. He brings 30 years of leadership experience in Local Government, State Government, Aboriginal Corporations and the not-for-profit sector across Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory. He has lived and worked in remote Aboriginal communities for 7 years in senior leadership roles. He is passionate about people building their skills and knowledge through ongoing professional development, particularly experiential learning such as what the Management Challenge offers. 

 

David has a bachelor's degree in business and extensive experience in Community Services work. With a passion for community development and organisational capacity building, David’s goal is to promote an integrated approach to local employment and economic development through job creation and high-quality service delivery.

Cindy Haddow

About Cindy

 

Cindy is currently serving as the General Manager at Roper Gulf Regional Council, a position she has held since October 2022. In addition, Cindy has been the Chief Executive Officer at NT Friendship & Support since and a Senior Adviser at the National Indigenous Australians Agency. Prior to her Local Government career, she served as a Senior Adviser at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and worked at the Department of Family, Housing, Community Service and Indigenous Affairs. â€‹Cindy holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of South Australia and a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management from Flinders University. ​​​

Cristian Coman

About Cristian

Cristian is the Manager of Corporate Compliance at Roper Gulf Regional Council. In this role, he oversees and manages the Council’s corporate and regulatory compliance activities and functions, as well as its governance. This includes providing direct advice to the Council, Committees, Local Authorities, and the Executive. Additionally, Cristian manages the development, review, and maintenance of the Council’s corporate plans (Strategic, Regional Plans, Annual Reports), its policies, and the Corporate Information System. Cristian has been in this position since 2018, although the title has changed over time the core duties have remained the same.

Cristian's professional background includes investigations, regulatory compliance, and governance at both state and local government levels in NSW and NT. Cristian holds a degree-level qualification in investigations, compliance, and governance. He also holds four Cert IV qualifications in: Trainer Assessor, Project Management, WHS, and Government (Investigations), and is undertaking a Master of Public Policy.
